After the installation of CD 1 the system restarts; after this restart the
installation asks for CD 2, but my CD/DVD device doesn't open. It also does not
react on pressing the eject button in the window shown on the screen.
Of course I don't know for sure wether this is a hardware problem on my side though.

Please, try to attach YaST logs and the full `hwinfo` command output.
