Description Zhen Zhu 2005-09-12 21:38:35 UTC
The IBM AR5212 abg wireless card in the T43 can't go up to work.
Thus the card had no interface id like wlan0 or ath0.
I believe it is the problem with the ath_pci.ko file. Becasue when "modprobe
ath_pci" it give errors.

Here is the erroe message in dmesg:

ath_pci: Unknown symbol ath_rate_tx_complete
ath_pci: Unknown symbol _ath_hal_attach
ath_pci: Unknown symbol ath_rate_attach
ath_pci: Unknown symbol ath_rate_newassoc

ath_pci: Unknown symbol ath_hal_detach

ath_pci: Unknown symbol ath_rate_detach

got the same problem with the D-LINK DWL-G520. Worked in 9.3 flawlessly. The
kernel-default-nongpl is missing on the RC1.

Kernel-nongpl cannot be shipped for legal reasons. it is available
for download from the opensuse web site however.
