Description Steven Robinson 2005-09-12 23:41:53 UTC
When inserting a CD, while logged in as root, the CD mounts if viewed through the terminal at /media/
*CDLABEL*, but it does not appear on the desktop.

When using "umount /media/*CDLABEL* the cd appears on the desktop and is remounted under /media
under the same label. Opening on the desktop reveals the contents.

If umounted a second time, the cd remains on the desktop but is empty. Eject must be chosen from the
right-click menu.

coolo, this is maybe for you
Comment 2 Stephan Kulow 2005-09-13 12:36:55 UTC
definitely not, nothing in KDE creates desktop icons. What desktop do you use?
