Screenshot of konsole window
It is probably a KDE problem. What happens in KDE is, that right after launching Konsole, for a second something like in the attachement is seen, but then normal application window with default color scheme appears. But this is not the case of GNOME, when application window with this color scheme stays "broken" all the time. the transparent background is fake and only works in KDE |
With GNOME selected as default desktop environment, Konsole (in SuSE menu Application -> System -> Terminal) is installed, but its window with default color scheme ("transparent, dark background") doesn't seem to be refreshing. You can see how it looks like in the attachement. You have to minimize it and maximize back again in order to get rid of this appearance or in order to see what you have typed. It doesn't happen when different color scheme is selected (e.g. "black on light color")
