I have gaim installed in my GNOME desktop on RC2 of SUSE Linux 10.0. I also have
gtkspell installed and installed aspell (not installed by default selection of
gnome). I still don't get any spell checking capability in gaim. The option to
spell check as I type is checked in the options. This may be related to
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=116486

I'm not able to reproduce this one, either.

Now I see the problem.  It was only installed for me because I'd added Russian
support.

Dupe, though.  Same underlying cause as 116486.
