Description Björn Voigt 2005-09-13 21:10:51 UTC
SuSE Linux uses UTF-8 since some releases.

Unfortunately the examples in don't reflect this:

#export LANG=de_DE@euro # uncomment this line for German output
#export LANG=fr_FR@euro # uncomment this line for French output
#export LANG=es_ES@euro # uncomment this line for Spanish output

I would prefer UTF-8 examples and a comment about the consequences of a mixture
between euro or iso-8859-1 and UTF-8 encodings (for instance for file names with
umlauts).
