Description Thomas Schmidt 2005-09-15 16:49:15 UTC
My new workstation has the (PCI) TV card: Pinnacle PCTV 300i DVB-T + PAL
Kernel module (saa7134_dvb) seems to be loaded correctly, and registered a
frontend "Zarlink MT352 DVB-T".
However I get no signal.
We tried with lnussels USB DVB device and got at least a signal for ZDF at the
current antenna position. But when using the pinnacle card, no signal.
We tried this with:
"tzap -c /suse/tschmidt/.tzap/channels.conf ZDF"
Feel free to login into host "bessel" and if you have time to look at it.

Ludwig: Who could help us here?
Comment 3 Thomas Schmidt 2006-03-10 17:10:35 UTC
Still not working with 10.1.
Please assign to responsible or close as WONTFIX.

I suppose this report got lost. I don't think this is a YaST bug. Don't you get any signal at all? Are you sure this card is in working order? Are there any kernel messages in the syslog?
Comment 5 Thomas Schmidt 2006-03-13 18:32:30 UTC
It seems I don't get any signal at all. The card is working in windows.
When I run
"tzap -c /suse/tschmidt/.tzap/channels.conf ZDF"
I get (on beta7) many messages like this in the syslog:

saa7134[0]: mt352_pinnacle_init called
mt352_read_register: readreg error (reg=21, ret==-5)

related: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-multimedia/2006-Jan/0089.html

The card and antenna are still connected to bessel.suse.de, everyone with an idea is invited to log in. I need to fix that until the WM 2006 ;-)

Kernel-maintainers: Can anyone of you be of assistance here?
Comment 7 Olaf Kirch 2006-03-17 15:06:29 UTC
Gerd, any idea?
Comment 8 Thomas Schmidt 2007-03-19 10:48:59 UTC
Working with 10.2 Kernel.
