gtk2 applications in general seem to experience fairly laggy redrawing in
general, which gets worse the more applications are on screen. Moving a window
over another one and then unhiding it can take a while, and switching workspaces
generally takes over a second. This is undesireable, and has led to me killing X
a number of  times when using ctl-alt-left and then trying to backspace since it
also seems to hold onto the modifier keys...

FWIW It seems a bit better in RC1 than it did in earlier beta's.
