Description Wilken Gottwalt 2005-09-17 08:58:09 UTC
If you try to install from a directory in a seperate partition and if you say
during installation to mount this partion as - lets say - /space, yast tries
to mount this partition after the others got formated and mounted. But the
partition is allready mounted (because of installing from it), so yast tells,
it is allready mounted, stops installing and falls back to console. Now you
have to start and select everyting again, which can be really annoying.

Please, attach YaST logs

Thanks

This is not possible, it is a machine at home and I don't have the logs anymore.

This is normal behaviour, yast2 stops if an fatal error occurs and not being
able to mount and partition to the place it is intended is a fatal error.

If you do an installation from a mounted partition (which is not officially
supported anyway) do not assign a mount point to this partition within YaST2.
