Description Norbert Wegener 2005-09-17 18:20:23 UTC
I wanted to configure my centrino network adapter and yast told me the
ipw-firmware package must be installed.
I do not find it on the cds. Am I doing something wrong or is the packets simply
missing? On 9.3 it has been available.

The OSS-version (the version you can download at opensuse.org) does not contain
this package because it contains proprietary software. The package is contained
on the boxed (shipped) version, though.

E.g. you can download this package here:
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/10.0/SUSE-Linux10.0-RC1-Extra/kernel-modules+firmware/suse/noarch

I'm closing this bug because it is none ;)
