Description Titizyan Anushovan 2005-09-20 13:11:44 UTC

The system does not find the network printer though they really are. I.e. in
KDEPrint I enter a name and the password for the review of a network, it shows
me all computers of a network, but the printers connected to them are not
present, though they are declared in the general access and from Windows work.
By means of smbclient-L host-U Username all printers and other general resources
are visible!

You cannot print on plain SMB printer shares.
You must set up an appropriate local queue for them.
Therefore it would be wrong and misleading for the user
to show the plain SMB printer shares in a printing frontend.
