Description Tony Reix 2005-09-21 09:35:44 UTC
YAST does not install a boot loader properly.
It claims:
->I may create a /boot partition with enough space on it
->I may create a PReR boot partition

There is yet a /boot partition created with ~25Mo space on it and there is no
way to create a PReR boot partition (proposed choices are: reiserfs, ext ... but
not PReR).

SLES9 was installed successfuly on this PPC machine. AIX 5.3 too.

There is another bug dealing with "boot loader" pbs with PPC (115529) but it
seems different than this one.

Regards,
Tony

The issue with the /boot partition has been fixed.

If you want to create a "PReP Boot" partition, you can do so by selecting
the "PReP boot" partition type (instead of the filesystem type) in
yast2-partitioner. This only works on PPC systems, and AFAIR it was fixed
some time ago.
