When connected a Mustek gSmart mini2 camera the SUSE Hardware Detection pop-up 
two times and creates two icons on media:/

could you add output of "ls -lha /media" and attach output of 'lshal' ?

I had need to read how-to select more that the 1000 lines default in history.

Which of the directorys is related to the camera?

Sounds like a problem of suse plugger. Maybe this is normal since there are two 
different devices for the camera:

udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_55f_c420_noserial_if1'
udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_55f_c420_noserial_if0'

(both with parent: '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_55f_c420_noserial')

I don't see directly a problem, both are different devices with different 
syspath. 

@coolo: I don't see really a bug, but you maybe want to take a look for this and 
suseplugger.

no, if the camera offers two interfaces, then it's ok to have two entries.
