It's difficult to explain but easy to see.
For this reason I have included a screenshot with an explanation in it.


btw: For Thunderbird bugs, whould I open bug in "component FireFox" ?

component Firefox is OK ;-)
This seems to be an upstream bug which only occurs with GNOME theming applied to
the default theme.
The bug disappeared with Thunderbird 1.5b1. So we are not going to fix that bug
in 1.0.6 and SUSE Linux 10.0 (most probably).
