Description mike sheridan 2005-09-22 18:24:29 UTC
This bug is against SLES9 SP2. We are not able to select SLES 9 as the
desired product. This is applicable to both 32bit and 64bit.

During a SLES 9 SP1 to SP2 update the egenera-created
softlink /sbin/mkinitrd -> /sbin/mkinitrd.egenera
was overwritten with a real file when the mkinitrd rpm was upgraded.

The SuSE Linux bugzilla is not for SLES bugs, we don't accept such reports.

If RPM overwrites your symlink, then you replaced a RPM maintained file, so
RPM is correct it doing so and has no other chance.
