I installed RC1 and noticed that the date in kicker was displayed in American 
style. I use German locale and KDE was correctly set up in terms of 
translation. Yet when I use kcontrol to set the locale, I see that KDE has 
none defined, i.e. the drop-down menue is set to an empty value and I have to 
change it to Central Europe > Germany.
