Attachments: | screenshot of software installer after launch on 5120x1440 display res |
Created attachment 853316 [details] screenshot of software installer after launch on 5120x1440 display res Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1a. Launch YaST2 (non-textmode) 2a. Open a component, e.g. security settings 1b. Open a component directly, e.g. software installer Expected Results: Component should adjust its window geometry to either of: a) the last time it was launched b) inherit the width of its parent c) a fraction of the total display resolution, but not always 2/3 if the display exceeds 'n' pixels in width. Please have a look at the attached scrot. Warning: 5120x1440 Suggestion a) and b) could be laborious and unnecessary for its use case. Yes, I could create a window rule. But I'm not keen on messing with kwin on every system I run or install OpenSuSE to. And maybe there are more users who get annoyed. Although I flagged this as 'enhancement', it's really bugging me. Pun intended. Feel free to ask questions.
