Description Allan Beaufour 2005-09-30 18:10:43 UTC
When I boot my newly installed machine, there's a 1 minute pause right after the
first SUSEfirewall step. From boot.msg:
SuSEfirewall2: Warning: ip6tables does not support state matching. Extended IPv6
support disabled.
[ PAUSE ]

done
System Boot Control: The system has been set up
System Boot Control: Running /etc/init.d/boot.local

I have some problems with ACPI, which I do not know whether is related, but
besides that the system works fine.

It's a clean install on a Toshiba Tecra 9100.

Heh, of course I found the error just 1 minute afterwards.

ACPI was failing to start, so kpowersave was also complaining. I found out the
reason:
/var/log/acpid was 2GB!

I have no idea how that has happened, but that was making acpid fail, and was
also causing the pause at startup.
