Description Ross Chevalier 2005-10-01 20:13:15 UTC
As in the other Atheros bug I posted, OpenSuSE10 detects the presence of the IBM
AR5212a/b/g chipset in the Thinkpad T43P and permits configuration. However,
the configuration will not go active and does not appear in the ifconfig
listing. Please advise further actions that will assist in resolution.

Can you please add /var/log/YaST2 and hwinfo?

Also, if you think I should see the other bug, mention its number.

Reassigning to the new maintainer of yast2-network.
Comment 4 Michal Zugec 2006-11-03 18:21:43 UTC
hwinfo?
y2log?
how it works under 10.1 / 10.2beta?

I think this enhancement #216530 should solve that.
It will show message to user that this chipset is not supported by us and he need to follow http://en.opensuse.org/Atheros_madwifi howto
