Description Christopher Gaul 2005-10-03 02:28:09 UTC
Firefox is generally unstable. Symptoms: pausing, lockups, and sudden exits.
Not generally reproduceable with any formula of actions or use. Just under
general use.
Same version of Firefox is stable on same hardware under SuSE 9.3 Pro.

One difference is the beagle plugin. Possibly part of the problem?

Try disabling the beagle plugin.

I found the issue with Firefox 1.5.0.1 security update has issues with some themes and plug-ins on SUSE Linux 10. Try the following:

1. Uninstall your Firefox themes except for the default one.

2. Restart Firefox.

3. Does it lock-up or crash using the default theme?

4. Is there any information pertaining to the lock-up/crash listed in the system logs "KMenu/System/YAST Control Center/Miscellaneous/View System Log".

5. Are you running the latest version of Java and have updated your Firefox plug-ins if any?

The report also does not say which Firefox exactly is in use.
