Interestingly here the behavior varies. Both VMs appear to be stuck, just in Leap we seem to got out from ncruses dialog
Both machines seem to boot fine after "force reset". I waited for 10 minutes after "blank screen appeared" to ensure that all data is synced. The expected reboot simply doesn't happen. Note: I will not block RC of Leap Micro on this, since SLE Micro seem to suffer from the same issue and is already GA. I also reported https://jira.suse.com/browse/SMO-103 to reduce frustration with VMs and self-install *** Bug 1197877 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Richard mentioned on today's call that the self-install issue was already fixed for MicroOS. Jiri told me that there is no plan for further respin of images, so at least it will be fixed in the 5.3 This is an autogenerated message for OBS integration: This bug (1199115) was mentioned in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/975401 Micro:5.2 / SUSE-MicroOS Works like a charm, I'll submit also SR for SUSE:MicroOS Update, we won't make sr for SLE Micro at this time as 5.3 setup is not yet ready and 5.2 does not plan to respin images. Therefore leaving open and assigned to Jiri. Interestingly, this actually works in openQA: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/2331621 The test is not doing anything special, just pressing enter twice to accept the messages on the prompt, then it waits for login prompt, so this screen: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/2331621#step/selfinstall/3 There is nothing done from the test point of view to reboot the system, it doesn't hang. Not sure what's going on when doing it manually. I will try it as well when I have time. The fix is included in 5.3. |
