Description Dirk Mueller 2005-10-05 11:10:35 UTC
sax2 generates for my TFT, which is a 19" tft a DisplaySize of a 17" TFT.

changing DisplaySize 320 240 to DisplaySize 376 301 solves the problem of a
wrong DPI number.

I'm not sure if it wouldn't be better to rely on DDC (if that one supplies the
display size) rather than hardcoding a wrong value.

affected computer is oldboy.suse.de

sysp -q told me:

 BELINEA 103050 with DPI: 320x240

hwinfo --monitor told me:

 SAMSUNG SyncMaster with DPI: 380x300

I think you have changed the monitor at some time. If you did that
you have to call

  sax2 -r

to reset the hardware cache. I'm pretty sure the DPI will be set to
380x300 according to the DDC information
