And works fine for me. Does it work if you install from CD? Yes, booting from DVD works. I just tried again RC1 and it still works. The GM does not work. I tried on Tyan S2885, on a Tyan single Opteron board, on the Tyan Tiger dual Athlon MP and on one Asus board with P3. Network cards were: broadcom, intel e1000, rtl8139, and VIA Rhine. All of these machines can boot all betas and the RC1, but all of them refuse to boot the GM. Assinging to Thorsten in the hope that this is OK ;) Sorry this bug got lost, because it was assigned directly to me rather than the screening-team. Uwe: Can you help here? If not, assign it back to the BNC-Team. Thanks. I did a lot of pxe boots with SL10.0 RC4. I can't imagine what's going wrong there - sorry. OK then I'm forced to close this bug. Andreas: Obviously this bug cannot be reproduced, which makes it virtually impossible to fix for us. Sorry. I just recompiled the kernel. Then I moved my kernel and the initrd with the modules from my kernel to the installation server and it works. |
