SUSE Linux has always included PostgreSQL, and there are no plans to change this. These are the PostgreSQL packages that ship with SUSE Linux 10.0: postgresql-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm postgresql-contrib-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm postgresql-devel-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm postgresql-docs-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm postgresql-libs-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm postgresql-pl-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm postgresql-server-8.0.3-5.i586.rpm So, what exactly are you missing?
I beleive that it is included in 10.0 release, but it doesn't in 10.1 Alpha1
that I downloaded 3 days ago:

OK, so the rest of PostgreSQL was among the packages that had to be left out from the CD set, because five CDs can't hold as much data as a single DVD. I can assure you that we will continue shipping the whole set of PostgreSQL packages in the final product, but I don't know for which of the prereleases there will be DVD images again. |
