Description Yunhe Guo 2023-06-17 07:41:08 UTC
Currently Tumbleweed only provides Node.js 20 (20.2.0). This version has serious network issue that you cannot run npm install/update/publish because of ERR_SOCKET_CONNECTION_TIMEOUT (might related to IPv6). Downgrade to Node.js 18 (18.16.0) from OBS solves the issue.

Node.js 18 is still the LTS according to nodejs.org. Compared with Python, which Tumbleweed provides 3.9, 3.10, 3.11 and 3.12, four versions. Can we give Node.js more love?
