Description Silviu C. 2023-06-26 12:44:37 UTC
Hello,

After updating my MicroOS install to snapshot 20230624 my system won't suspend anymore and it may even kernel panic during boot.

If it manages to boot then it does not connect to my wifi router.

The wifi chip is identified by inxi as Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 using the ath10k_pci driver

I used snapper to rollback snapshot 20230623 and everything works fine.

It seems that after re-applying the update it's all fine now.

Will keep an eye on it

6.3.9 seems somehow unstable, and TW is already moving to 6.4.x.
If the problem happens with 6.4.x kernel, please reopen.

Unfortunately I spoke too soon that day

The system kept freezing even after reboots. Hard freeze, nothing in the logs.

I booted into Windows 10 for a few days thinking maybe something was going on with the hardware. Windows was fine.

I hope the 6.4 kernels are better.

You can try the latest 6.4.x kernel from OBS Kernel:stable repo, too:
  http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/

Note that it's an unofficial build, hence you'd need to turn off Secure Boot.
