Description Michal Svec 2023-07-19 21:37:23 UTC
Just did an upgrade from 15.4 to 15.5 and ntpd doesn't start at all.
The only messages in the log are these:

systemd[1]: ntpd.service: Failed to run 'start' task: Too many links
systemd[1]: ntpd.service: Failed with result 'resources'.

I've tried uninstalling ntp.rpm, removing its /etc config files and
installing it again and it hasn't helped.

Google hasn't revealed any hints either.

Oh, it seems the filesystem was full. Removing a bunch of dirs
from /tmp seems to have helped.

(The message is not entirely helpful, though)
