Description nuts 2023-07-26 03:08:03 UTC
Both Firefox and Thunderbird's bin files seem to use bashisms and exit out with this error:
154: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "fi")
Making it use bash fixes the issue.
I know Firefox started erroring out in the 115 releases, not sure about Thunderbird.
Comment 1 Andreas Stieger 2023-07-26 07:53:09 UTC
checkbashisms ./usr/lib64/firefox/firefox.sh
possible bashism in ./usr/lib64/firefox/firefox.sh line 103 (should be '.', not 'source'):
source /etc/os-release
possible bashism in ./usr/lib64/firefox/firefox.sh line 154 ('function' is useless):
    function create_langpack_link() {

Thanks for the hint! I'll submit a fix with the next release beginning of next week.
