the wifi driver that comes with the kernel is an older one and need to be manually updated

the wifi driver that comes with the kernel is an older one and need to be manually updated by being downloaded from the intel site https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005511/wireless.html and being extracted to the /lib/firmware directory

Tumbleweed is a rolling release and it takes the latest upstream code as well as the upstream firmware. You are likely misinformed.

Please reopen if anything particular bug has to be fixed instead. Thanks.
