Hello,

I am trying to run the QEMU gcc tests for s390x,

and these tests require a fully functional s390x crosscompiler in order to build the test code.

Unfortunately, after installing the packages:

zypper install cross-s390x-gcc13 cross-s390x-binutils cross-s390x-linux-glibc-devel

still the libgcc seems missing:

/usr/lib64/gcc/s390x-suse-linux/13/ld: cannot find -lgcc: No such file or directory

This blocks the current QEMU work to fix QEMU emulation errors on S390x.

The s390x crosses are old-style, just providing freestanding compilation.  I've turned s390x, ppc64le and x86_64 targets to the full glibc variant in devel:gcc, let's see if that works without further changes.

You can try installing from devel:gcc after the build finished.  Can you report back whether the built packages work for you?

I realized it also needs glibc to build the cross, I'm doing a SR to Base:System as well but that means packages only get built when both end up in Factory
unless you branch them to a local repository (or build them locally which is what I'm doing right now to verify things).

It's now staged together in https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:N - you can possibly pull the packages from there once built (but the stagings are not distributed so you have to go via the API)
