since the latest release kdepim/akonadi have been having serious authentication problems.

would it be possible to include a test that will test kontact to where it creates a new email account and then tests whether or not the email account validates with google server.  a dummy account could be used.

if failed, stop and give back trace.

if above was successful, to also test the creation of default calendar/contacts, also test authentication in regards to calendars/contacts.

it would also be worthy to note that it seems as thought the package libkgapi is required by kdepim suite
