Hello,

I am using a 4k monitor with Secure Boot enabled. By default, GRUB is displayed at a low resolution. I can adjust the resolution in YaST to my native monitor resolution. However, the font then becomes too small. When secure boot is enabled, I cannot customize the fonts to my liking because GRUB is only allowed to use signed fonts.

Would it be possible to add multiple font sizes to the signed GRUB package so that users can customize their GRUB theme to their liking?

For example, the current openSUSE GRUB theme uses the following fonts:

DejaVu Sans Bold 14
DejaVu Sans Regular 10,12
Gnu Unifont Mono Regular 16

Adding more font sizes would be very nice (e.g. DejaVu Sans Regular 10,12,15,18,21,24).

Optional luxury: In YaST, add a drop down menu to select the font size.
