It seems if you do not configure the hook the cluster will not failover, so I would like to suggest to double check a properly way to define.

Here is the customer feedback about our doc

"Kinda misleading:  “speed up failover” should be worded “enable failover” IMHO, from what you state. I recall seeing that but disregarding it because of that wording…."

Optionally, a third hook is called by SAP HANA when a service status changes. This method can be used to speed up the takeover in case the indexserver process fails. This HA/DR provider method is srServiceStateChanged(), the related SUSE hook script is susChkSrv.py. For installation details, refer to manual page susChkSrv.py(7).
