When a VM is stopped the serial console is destroyed.

If serial console view was selected while the VM was running the console switch is still set to serial but graphical console is selected. Then selecting the serial console requires switching the console twice: once to graphical which does nothing because hte graphical console is already selected, and then to serial again.
