Using standard KDE from Leap 15.5.

Right now I can work with heif/heic/jxl images (after installing additional packages). jxl = JPEG XL.
Working with avif files: I cannot open avif file with avif extension, but I can open it after changing extension to av1 or heif or heic.
If I save image with Gwenview in avif format, Gwenview uses avif extension. So I need to change extension manually to open it again with Gwenview.

Works here on TW. What's the output of `file` on *.avif and *.av1 files and what does `xdg-mime query filetype` say about them?
