install opensuse with hdmi. Display on koosmile p8 is black with a backlight on upon boot. I believe it is intel i915 driver related here are some of the errors displayed.

it should support a max resolution of 1280x800 and many other in landscape mode. NOTE: windows 11 works fine in all screen orientations and resolutions.

Yea I thought it was a kernel driver issue too but I was told to report it as an xorg issue but thanks. :)

Hi, please boot with "drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M" on the kernel command line and provide the output from the dmesg command.

That should show us some more details on what is going on.

Hmm, the log is still truncated. Are you specifying the log_buf_len=4M parameter as well as the drm.debug=0x1e parameter? Both are required.

This time the drm.debug=0x1e is missing. If you look at the 2nd line of the log you can see that there is a missing space between drm.debug and the previous command.
"security=apparmordrm.debug=0x1e"

This time the log didn't fit in 4MB. But never mind. Your problem is likely the same as the upstream bug Takashi mentioned in comment #14.

It seems the hardware is not following the hardware specifications or the video bios table is not configured correctly.

Since this is an upstream problem I suggest you follow the upstream discussion instead. The Intel engineers are much better suited to solve this problem.
