Description Florent CHANTRET 2005-10-08 09:23:00 UTC
Hi,

I don't know if it's really a bug or the fact that mirrors are not still synced
but ftp.belnet.be seems to be in sync.

I've added the OSS install source to my SuSE 10.0 DVD Eval version in order to
install new soft as Thunderbird.

The addition of this install source didn't trig any error but when I launch the
install package app, I can see any packages from the OSS instal source.

It seems to be OK for the java install source though.

I encountered the same problem after updating an existing Suse 9.3 Professional
installation to 10.0. Tried to add
http://mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source/, but
the packages do not show up in Yast.

The y2logs would be helpful. Thanks.

Created attachment 52099 [details]
y2log - gzipped

The attached y2log reflects the re-addition of
mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source/ as an
installation source and a subsequent call to the "Install or remove software"
module of YaST.
Hope this is really helpful.

assigned to maintainer.

btw: i had this also at home, yesterday i added a new (fast) server and it
works. maybe the other server was overloaded and the description of the files
was not proper downloaded?

Maybe, or sth is/was wrong at mirrors.kernel.org. Anyway,
ftp.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/Mirrors/opensuse.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source
does the job. Thanks!

According to log, it really seems that there is something wrong with that mirror (HTTP returns error 404). As it seems to work with other mirrors, resolving as INVALID.
