My sound system wasn't detected after the Live DVD boot. I had to run yast after the boot to make it work (and network had to be up before that or yast would error). Sound is onboard the Asus P4PE motherboard: 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 80b0 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 12 I/O ports at 9800 [size=256] I/O ports at 9400 [size=64] Memory at d3000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512] Memory at d2800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2 After running yast manually after the boot, sound started working.
