The 390 driver series is EOL since end of 2022. The last possible build (heavy patching needed to be compatible with up to date kernels) was done for kernel 6.5.9 This is also noted in the SDB that the 390 driver series is not compatible with kernel 6.6.x series. You need to switch to nouveau. https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_drivers#Determination_of_driver_version Hardware elder then 10 years leaves upstream Nvidia support and can no longer be maintained downstream by distributions. But I think this Compiling error can be solved with a small patch, as seen in the OBS: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:drankinatty:branches:X11:Drivers:Video/nvidia-gfxG04 or https://gist.github.com/joanbm/2ec3c512a1ac21f5f5c6b3c1a4dbef35 Stephan Thanks for reporting. Fixed now in https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/X11:Drivers:Video/nvidia-gfxG04 Fixed packages will be available together with next G06 driver, currently planned for feburary. For now please use an older kernel or try to use nouveau driver as already suggested. Also I'm wondering that you're still using this driver. Which nvidia GPU are you using? inxi -aG will tell us ... Hell Stefan Dirsch,
thank you for fixing the bug in NVidia G04". I'll expect it in february.

Ok. Although this is already GeForce 600series it's still Fermi, no longer supported by G05, let alone G06 driver. GPU is from 2012 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_600_series |
Created attachment 871665 [details] foto of warning message at last update After updating to Kernel-Version 6.6.X and NVidia-drivers glG04, version 390.157-37.1-X86_64, the computer doesn't start in grafical mode, only the console is displayed. It can be started in grafical mode by choosing "recovery mode" in the bootloader-menu and continuing booting with "Strg-d". But then the computer runs sometimes instablely or freezes. Nothing changed after the last update tot Kernel 6.6.7. At updating there is a red reported warning (see attachment). In OpenSuse forum they suggested me to report this bug.
