Description Sebastien ROHAUT 2005-10-09 13:29:22 UTC
Hi,

gtk-qt-engine "GTK styles and fonts" wasn't in KDE Control center, and the
command kcmshell kcmgtk was not working.

So I created a new package with lastest CVS and Suse 10.0 patches. All is
working now. I expect someone will put it updated with YOU.

Oh, it seems this doesn't work. Some files are missing in the package (some
desktop files in application directory). I will make a new package soon.
Comment 4 Stephan Kulow 2005-10-13 08:55:11 UTC
can you please just add some patch here? a src rpm is a bit too heavy for a
change
Comment 5 Sebastien ROHAUT 2005-10-18 20:46:53 UTC
ok, I've now a correct rpm. I will send you the modified spec file.
Comment 6 Stephan Binner 2005-11-15 17:30:46 UTC
Seems that you don't have attached the spec file yet?
Comment 7 Stephan Binner 2005-11-16 17:47:43 UTC
From the changelog:

* Fri Aug 27 2004 - adrian@suse.de
- disable kcm modul since it is not translated

Has that changed?
Comment 8 Kai Schmidt 2005-12-07 16:27:07 UTC
Does it works also for SuSE 10 with update to KDE 3.5?

I have install the rpm with an command like this:
yast -i gtk-qt-engine-0.6cvs20051009-1.i586.rpm

But in kcontrol it is not possible to find the settings page for this engine :-(

I tried now for three days to get this working, but the only thing never changed is, that gtk+ apps looks like [CENSORED].

Is there a way to get Apps like Firefox, The Gimp, MySQL Admin, MySQL Query Browser to looks like an QT App under SuSE 10? Without working Engine, i think it is better to use no SuSE Linux.
Comment 9 Stephan Kulow 2005-12-09 17:04:10 UTC
please fix that _NOW_ - i.e. before the translation deadline. Put the needed pot file in kdebase-SuSE/po for now
Comment 10 Sebastien ROHAUT 2005-12-09 22:09:51 UTC
Oh, in fact I didn't put the spec file because when I tested gtk-qt-engine with KDE 3.5, the panel disepeared from my kde control panel ! It's only working with kcmshell kcmgtk-xdg command line. I don't understand why. kcmshell --list don't find it...

Also, I think it's not a goos idea to remove the panel component of gtk-qt-engine because it's only in english. Yes, some people can't read english, but by default there is only two checkboxes to check (sorry, bad english).

So, here is an attachement with my lastest src build. All, not only spec, because moved all patches (I patches sources before build the source rpm) in the tarball.

Updated from CVS for German translation and reenabled .desktop file installation.
