libreoffice startup

Hello since some time Libreoffice started to startup veeeeeery slow.
I tried to launch libreoffice with a "strace -f" command, I added a timestamp infront of every line printed by strace. If you see the log, at the line 45867 it appears a try to connecto to ftp://ftp.libreoffice.org (address unresolved).

Tre strace start at 14:36:08 and end around 14:38:20.... the process was starting libreoffice and then, when appeared the GUI I clicked on exit.

Around 2 minutes to startup Libreoffice is not viable, don't you think?

I tried to set ftp.libreoffice.org to 127.0.0.1 and the startup procedure became very speedy... so the problem (for me) is that libreoffice try to connect to ftp.libreoffice.org to do something

Version: 24.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 420(Build:2)
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3

...on openSUSE Tumbleweed starts "instantly" for me (while
ftp.libreoffice.org does not resolve either).

It will be interesting to see how this behaves when 24.2 has
landed in openSUSE Leap.

Diego, are you pulling from the LibreOffice:7.6 repository?

I updated the version there to be the latest from the 7.6 branch, version 7.6.7.2.
So far another user has reported no issues with it, so it might've been fixed upstream.

Could you check? Meanwhile, I'll check here too.
Hopefully this is solved.

Thanks

I think the problem has been resolved upstream, currently in opensuse 15.5 I have libreoffice-24.2.1.2-150500.20.3.11.x86_64 and I don't record anymore the connection to ftp.openoffice.org
