Summary: [Build 1011.4] BCI repo test: installed openssl-1_1-1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1.x86_64 requires 'libopenssl1_1 = 1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1'

Description Martin Loviska 2024-02-20 09:02:06 UTC
## Observation

openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP6-BCI-Repo-Updates-x86_64-bci_repo_patterns@64bit fails in
[bci_test_podman](https://openqa.suse.de/tests/13554082/modules/bci_test_podman/steps/42)

## Test suite description
The base test suite is used for job templates defined in YAML documents. It has no settings of its own.

> Problem: the installed openssl-1_1-1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1.x86_64 requires 'libopenssl1_1 = 1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1', but this requirement cannot be provided
> Solution 1: deinstallation of openssl-1_1-1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1.x86_64
> Solution 2: keep obsolete libopenssl1_1-1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1.x86_64
> Solution 3: break openssl-1_1-1.1.1l-150500.17.22.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

## Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build [1010.5](https://openqa.suse.de/tests/13539750)

## Expected result

Last good: [995.1](https://openqa.suse.de/tests/13502029) (or more recent)

## Further details

Always latest result in this scenario: [latest](https://openqa.suse.de/tests/latest?arch=x86_64&distri=sle&flavor=BCI-Repo-Updates&machine=64bit&test=bci_repo_patterns&version=15-SP6)
Comment 1 Marcus Meissner 2024-02-20 13:32:14 UTC
seems container and repo are not in sync.
Comment 2 Marcus Meissner 2024-02-20 16:23:01 UTC
repo updated, should be in sync again.

can you retrigger and see if that helps
Comment 3 Marcus Meissner 2024-02-21 15:10:05 UTC
Hmm, its not using the BCI repo but the product repos. these have not been synced out with the current up to date packageset.

Not sure when they get published again, but likely at public beta time.
Comment 4 Dirk Mueller 2024-02-26 13:23:10 UTC
this is fallout from the missing fix in patterns-base-fips. marcus already submitted a fix. it should be on its way.
Comment 5 Martin Loviska 2024-02-28 16:00:06 UTC
It seems to be resolved, can we close the report?

Not sure where you are looking, but the 10xx.* runs are RED still.

https://openqa.suse.de/tests/overview?distri=sle&version=15-SP6&build=1033.1&groupid=428

I however think this will fix itself only once the public beta happens.

Looks like a different problem to me now

Comment 8 Marcus Meissner 2024-03-05 09:35:22 UTC
