Description Douglas DeMaio 2024-03-05 08:29:24 UTC
On the front page, please delete - If you experience any difficulties or find any issues, please, report to SUSE Bugzilla Team

This goes to email bugzilla-admins@suse.com, which does not get replies.

Users end up contacting openSUSE Heroes instead, but openSUSE
Heroes have no influence over Bugzilla and can only refer people back to bugzilla-admins@suse.com.

Hi Douglas, would you mind to open a Jira SD ticket to IT team to fix this issue? I once was told that if any issues on Bugizlla, open Jira SD tickets to fix. I can not find a maintainer for this issue (I'm working on bugzilla screening that is to look for maintainers for bug reports).

Thank you Chenzi. SD-150313. I'll add comment of this bug report to that to connect the two.

I somewhat doubt that your proposal is a good solution.

Sure, bugzilla-admins@suse.com is not really responsive, so it doesn't help too much to mention it - but simply deleting it won't fix the underlying problem "whom to contact in case of bugzilla problems?"

The better fix would be to either "teach" the bugzilla admins to answer mails, or to find a better contact/mail address with more responsive people.
(I don't know who works on bugzilla and would also be willing to actually help in case of problems, therefore I'll leave that task to you.)

Let's see what is said. I just know that without any response, it's probably best to not have an option just to manage expectations. A non-response also has an effect. The comments section is the likely place were people should communicate. A statement like that might be the better solution. Something like "Communication for bugs will be done in the comments section of each bug. Should you have a specific question about the openSUSE Bugzilla instance, please contact openSUSE Heroes or the openSUSE Board."

> openSUSE Bugzilla instance, please contact openSUSE Heroes

The openSUSE Heroes have zero control over Bugzilla.
