Description Yasuhiko Kamata 2024-03-13 02:03:15 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install openSUSE Leap 15.6 beta (Build626.1 currently).
2. Install KVM-related packages using "yast2 virtualization" ("KVM server" and "KVM tools").
3. Reboot and start "virt-manager" and start VM creation wizard.
4. Crashes immediately after creating the VM.

Workaround:
* Check "Customize configuration before install at the end of the creation wizard.
* Remove "USB Redirector 1", "USB Redirector 2", and "Channel (spice)" from the hardware list.
* Change display type to "VNC server".

This has been fixed but missed the beta deadline.
Update your libosinfo RPMs from the Virtualization repo (force update them if
necessary).

https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization/15.6/x86_64/

libosinfo-1.11.0-Virt.150600.130.1.x86_64.rpm
libosinfo-1_0-0-1.11.0-Virt.150600.130.1.x86_64.rpm
typelib-1_0-Libosinfo-1_0-1.11.0-Virt.150600.130.1.x86_64.rpm

https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization/15.6/noarch/
libosinfo-lang-1.11.0-Virt.150600.130.1.noarch.rpm

Restart virt-manager after updating libosinfo and the crash should be gone.
