Description Adrian Schröter 2024-04-10 07:22:01 UTC
After updating from 15.5 to 15.6 the external docking station of my Dell Latitude 7490 (former standard SUSE company notebook) is mostly not usable anymore:

 - LAN port is still working
 - external monitor was not anymore discovered
 - plug'd in USB devices are not discovered anymore

lspci did show the thunderbolt devices, but kernel messages also showed

 pcieport 0000:03:00.0: BAR 13: no space for [io size 0x2000]
 pcieport 0000:03:00.0: BAR 13: failed to assign [io size 0x2000]

using additional parameters

  i915.enable_dc=0 pci=realloc,assign-busses,hpbussize=0x33

did bring back the monitor support (without the i915 parameter the system crashed on boot, black screen, blinking caps-lock)
