Description Nicolas CARLIER 2024-04-27 12:17:41 UTC
Hello,

Following a recent "zypper refresh && zypper dup", the PHP 8.3 application responds: "PHP Fatal error: Unable to start pcre module in Unknown on line 0".

There is an open post on the subject https://forums.opensuse.org/t/php-fatal-error-unable-to-start-pcre-module-in-unknown-on-line-0/174470 which advised us to file a bug report on the subject.

What information is needed to help resolve the problem?

Removing the following packages and restarting solves the problem: libpcre2-16-0-x86-64-v3, libpcre2-32-0-x86-64-v3, libpcre2-8-0-x86-64-v3

Snapshot 0427 will have the pcre2*-v3 packages revived from the repo and mark the packages for Auto Removal
