Description Basil Cat 2024-05-02 06:17:12 UTC
No touchpad found sometimes on boot. Sometimes when i boot up the dell inspiron 5400 2 in 1, the touchpad is not found. When i restart, it works.

This has been happening on and off for a long time. However, it has began to pester me more frequently.

What could be wrong with the kernel? Could it be a recent regression?

Not a critical bug (crash, data loss). Downgrading to normal.

Reporter: provide the model of the touchpad in use. “hwinfo” may help in a boot when the device is working. Also provide a log (dmesg) when it is not working.
