Description Müller 2024-05-15 18:50:52 UTC
even after zypper aloc the names of the folders remain in english. normally there is a dialog that asks if you want to change folder names like Music or Pictures to the current language but this is not the case here.
Comment 1 Richard Brown 2024-05-15 18:54:57 UTC
Does running the following command in a session of the correct locale fix it?

xdg-user-dirs-update --force

Priority reduced back to 5 - priority is set by the developer and we haven’t established there is anything to do just yet
Comment 2 Müller 2024-05-15 19:07:24 UTC
yes and no. the files from the english directory were not transferred to the german directory and therefore each directory is now duplicated (the german one contains the icon, the english one the files)

I have exactly the same problem with french locale : after zypper aloc the names of the folders remain in english.

After xdg-user-dirs-update --force : each directory is duplicated in english and in french.

Want-to-fix before RC2, will require significant additions to aeon-firstboot though, so may be missed
