I am running KDevelop from the KDE application repository at https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Applications/KDE_Frameworks5_openSUSE_Leap_15.5, and it appears that not all of the components are in the same version. Running the Python plugin causes it to crash when it parses Python files. Uninstalling the Python and PHP plugins allows it to run normally.  Please update and rebuild the plugins whenever Kdevelop is updated.  This has happened to me before due to the same issue.

What's the output of `rpm -qv kdevelop5-plugin-python3 kdevelop5-plugin-php kdevelop5` ?

kdevelop5, kdevplatform, and the lang RPMs are 24.02.2-kf.79.1
The kdevelop-plugin RPMs are 24.02.2-kf.71.14

When the plugins are installed, Kdevelop crashes in the language parser when it hits Python code. Uninstalling these plugins fixes the crashes.

is not the cause then.

I suggest checking if the crash was already reported upstream and reporting there (using either the kdevelop or kdev-python product)
