Description Martin Jambor 2024-06-04 11:19:44 UTC
GCC 14 newly by default treats as errors a number of situations which
before were only warnings. For more information see
https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-14/porting_to.html and meta bug #1220571.

Because of this, package redland fails to compile. This can be seen online
at:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:Gcc7/redland/standard/x86_64

It can be reproduced locally with command: osc build --clean
--alternative-project home:rguenther:nextgcc

The (first) error (that halts the build) is:

[   21s] rdf_files.c: In function 'librdf_files_temporary_file_name':
[ 21s] rdf_files.c:96:6: error: implicit declaration of function 'mkostemp'; did you mean 'mkstemp'? [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]
[   21s]    96 |   fd=mkostemp(name, O_CLOEXEC);
[   21s]       |      ^~~~~~~~
[   21s]       |      mkstemp

A feature macro definition was missing. I created https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1187162 which adds it with a -D compiler option.
